Kyle Lowry has been playing decent basketball for the Raptors this season. He has posted averages of 12.4 points and 6.5 assists per game for the Raptors.
Toronto currently sits at 6-7 on the young season, and the fact that they are near .500 makes them better than most of the East. Lowry has 11 points on the night against the Brooklyn Nets, and he earned three of them using his craft moves to draw a foul on a shot from beyond the three point line:
On three pointers, it doesn’t take much contact to draw a foul. When you look at the play in slow motion, it appears that he just nicks him on the arm. The point of the rule is to make sure that shooters can get their full range of motion going, and any interference will draw a whistle. You will see the shooters try and fall into the guys, and it will work on most occasions. Lowry hit all three free throws, but the Nets lead in the third quarter.
