The Wizards are facing off against the Lakers in Washington, and the game is close as it nears halftime.

In this play, Nene–who has played well against the Lakers in his career–steals the ball from Jordan Hill and takes it down the court for a slam:

When healthy, Nene gives the Wizards a good option down low, but he has battled foot injuries for some time now. Washington has played much better as of late, and John Wall is looking like the John Wall of last year.

Nene offers leadership due to his long tenure in the NBA, and this is a relatively young team. It’s impressive to see a guy his size dribble the ball down like that and the spin move is very nice.

Nene has 19 points in the first half alone, and the Lakers aren’t looking so good on the defensive end in this one. The Wizards will try and move to 6-8 with a win at home tonight.
