The Nets came into Tuesday night with the 3rd worst record in the league at 3-10. They were in Toronto to face the 6-7 Raptors, and they needed a win badly.

Brooklyn came out firing, and held a double digit lead early in the second half. They were playing good defense, and their offense finally had some flow to it. The Nets finished with 25 assists on 39 made baskets, and that means they went away from the iso game.

The Raptors got good efforts from DeMar DeRozan who had 27 points, and Kyle Lowry who had 24. They shot just 43.6% from the field though, and Brooklyn’s defense held them in check. I can see why Rudy Gay banned stat sheets from the locker room, as he shot just 3 of 12 from the field for 9 points.

The Raptors would battle back, and Rudy Gay hit a 3 late to cut it to 1, and Shaun Livingston hit 2 free throws to seal it late. Paul Pierce had 16, KG had 12, Andray Blatche had 24, and Joe Johnson had 21 for the Nets. They won the game 102-100 to move to 4-10, and the Raptors fell to 6-8.
