The Lakers have given up 59 first half points to the Wizards, and they have looked impressive early on.
2 of their 59 came on a great play from Trevor Ariza. Ariza steals the ball from Wesley Johnson, and he somehow makes the amazing pass to John Wall, who was all alone for the slam:
This is great awareness by Ariza, and Wall does a little pose for the photographers after the dunk.
Wall has been great lately, averaging 24 points and 8 assists in his last 4 games, and that had led to a 3-1 mark. If he can keep this up, the Wizards have a real chance of making the playoffs in a dreadful Eastern Conference. They are without Bradley Beal, so it will be up to the other guys to pick up some scoring and shooting.
They hold a slim 59-55 lead over the Lakers at halftime in this one, and I have a feeling that you’ll see this play all over highlight shows tonight.
