Charles Barkley on Iron Bowl: ‘We’re going to have to throw the ball’

Auburn graduate Charles Barkley shared his thoughts this week about the upcoming Iron Bowl. His prediction? Auburn will have to rely on Nick Marshall to win.

We’re going to have to throw the ball. If Marshall can get us three (passing touchdowns) — we’ll score at least one touchdown on the ground, to be honest with you — but if we can score three touchdowns in the air we’re going to win the game.

Seems about right.

Barkley also said that Auburn is on the cusp of the best season in school history:

This is probably, to me, and I’m not taking (anything) away, but this would be the greatest season in Auburn history if you factor in not winning an SEC game last year to arguably being one or two in the next rankings,” Barkley said. “If they can win the next two games — maybe three games — this, to me, would be the greatest season in Auburn history considering what they came from.

The Iron Bowl will be played on Saturday (in case you weren’t aware). Remember to blast this song throughout the game!
