Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kendall Wright played along side Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III at Baylor University. They entered the league the same year. For Wright it has been hard to watch his former teammate and friend struggle in his sophomore season.

“I just think he’s putting a lot of pressure on himself. He’s just got to go out there and have fun and play football like he knows how to play,” Wright said. “Don’t worry about the outside world or what people think about you. He’s just got to go play football like he knows how to play.”

Wright compared RGIII’s struggles to that of a current teammate.

“I have a teammate going through it right now in Kenny Britt,” Wright said. “He’s going through it and you can see how hard it. When it’s that hard, players go out there and put too much pressure on themselves, like, they just have to make a play. To me, you just got to go out there and stay focused, attention to detail and make the plays when it’s your time to make the plays.”

It is interesting that Wright says this. San Francisco 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks said that Griffin is brave for playing, but he shouldn’t be playing, after their Monday night match up.
