When the Pittsburgh Panthers host the Miami Hurricanes Friday afternoon, they will be without three key players according to head coach Paul Chryst via Jerry DiPaola of TribLive.com.
Freshman offensive tackle Adam Bisnowaty, who has been bothered by a back injury throughout the season, has missed two of the last three games. The 6’6, 300 lb. Pittsburgh native will again be replaced by redshirt senior Juantez Hollins. Hollins was a part time starter in 2011, but was suspended in 2012.
Defensive end Ejuan Price also won’t play in Friday’s contest. The 6’0, 230 lb. sophomore has a back injury this will be the sixth consecutive game he has missed.
Tight end Scott Orndorff, who has a leg injury, will miss his third straight game. The 6’5, 255 lb. freshman out of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania has six catches for 50 yards on the season.
The 6-5 Panthers will try to assure themselves of a winning record by defeating the 8-3 Hurricanes. The Hurricanes, who were once 7-0 and had a top 10 ranking, need a win, plus losses by the Duke Blue Devils, who play the rival North Carolina Tar Heels and the Virginia Tech Hokies, who play the Virginia Cavaliers, to win the ACC’s Coastal Division.
Kickoff is scheduled for for 3:30 pm EST Friday and the game is on ABC.
