Chip Kelly says Philadelphia Eagles run ‘See Coast offense’
By Bryan Rose
Love him or hate him, Philadelphia Eagles head coach Chip Kelly is quite the confident character.
With an offense that would ‘revolutionize’ professional football, Kelly took over the Eagles and instantly fell on his face though has recovered nicely in recent weeks, especially with Nick Foles behind center. Granted, the first few weeks of the season were tough in regards to the Eagles schedule, but things are looking like they’re finally starting to click for Kelly and his Eagles.
Maybe that’s in part to his ‘See Coast offense’, which Kelly described to Pro Football Talk when quizzed about the style the Eagles use:
"“Here is our offense,” Kelly said. “We run the See Coast offense. If we see something and we like it and we think it fits, we’re going to run it. The Philadelphia Eagles run the See Coast offense. Let’s run that today and we’ll go from there.”"
Kelly went on to break it down, suggesting that he’s never looked at offenses in ‘that type of way’, suggesting that every team has a standard set of plays and schemes that they alter to their own preference.
