Lions rule Calvin Johnson active vs. Packers

The Detroit Lions will enter their big Thanksgiving match up against the NFC North rival Green Bay Packers with their top receiving option on the field. Despite nagging knee injuries and short rest, the Lions have ruled star wide receiver Calvin Johnson active for the big game.
Johnson was never expected to miss today’s game, so the official inactives list just confirmed what we had already known.
For the Packers, Matt Flynn will start, which was announced on Wednesday when the team ruled out Aaron Rodgers, who is still recovering from a broken left collarbone.
