The Cleveland Browns were preparing for this weekend’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with former first-round pick Brandon Weeden as the starting quarterback, but they were still hopeful that Jason Campbell would be available to dress as the team’s primary back up.
Unfortunately, it was announced on Black Friday that Campbell has been ruled out.
From Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal:
#Browns QB Campbell (concussion) is out. LB Carder (shoulder) is out. LB Robertson (knee) is doubtful.

With Campbell officially ruled out for the Week 13 match up against Jacksonville, trick-shot quarterback Alex Tanney, who the Browns signed off of the Dallas Cowboys practice squad just a few days ago, will be the team’s back up.
The Browns haven’t had much luck under center as they watched Brian Hoyer head to the IR and Campbell suffer his concussion, so they will having their fingers crossed on Sunday.
If another injury occurs, they will be in serious trouble.
