Jermaine O’Neal is finally healthy and contributing to the Golden State Warriors, but it wasn’t his play that got him attention in this game against the Thunder.

Steven Adams is getting some playing time for the Thunder because Kendrick Perkins left with a hand injury. In this play O’Neal tries to go down the lane and start to get position, while Adams tries to prevent him from doing so. Adams is a rookie, O’Neal has played for over a decade, and the vet didn’t take a liking to the rookie’s actions:

I’m not questioning O’Neal’s toughness, but he wasn’t going to actually do anything in this situation. This could inspire the Warriors to play with some fire, as they are a young team, and could follow in Jermaine’s footsteps.

You can see that the other old guy on the court, Derek Fisher, is the first one to come to Adams’ defense. This is a match up between two top teams in the league, and it may become a rivalry soon.
