Florida AD Jeremy Foley provides more support for Will Muschamp

With a loss today to the rival Florida State Seminoles, the Florida Gators will finish the season 4-8 on the year, a far cry from last season where they were dangerously close to playing for a national championship.

Despite battling a myriad of injuries throughout the season to some very key starters, the brunt of the blame has been thrust upon head coach Will Muschamp. Very few, if anyone anymore it seems, want to see Muschamp back next season. They want to join the coaching carousel in the 2013 offseason that will be Texas and USC looking for new head coaches.

Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley doesn’t want to jump on that carousel, though. He made that known last week, and he clearly re-iterated that today:

Again, this is the second time in a week that Foley has expressed his loyalty to Muschamp. If this turns out not to be the case when today is over, Foley had better be ready for a media firestorm coming his way.
