The Missouri Tigers can feel it right now. After being the laughing stock of the SEC last year, they’ve lost just one game this season and are on the cusp of an appearance in the SEC Title Game next week.
Well, that is if they can defeat Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies.
They took a huge step toward that late in the fourth quarter. With the game knotted at 21, Missouri got the ball after A&M failed to capitalize on their possession.
On the third play of that drive, James Franklin handed the ball off to running back Henry Josey who dashed right through the middle 57 yards for the go-ahead score:
That right there may have been the official ticket being punched to Atlanta for this resurgent squad.
After stumbling through the year last season, this was a great display of just how good of a coach Gary Pinkel is. It would have been very easy to just lose this team, but he didn’t. They turned right around have have become one of the top teams in the SEC.
Congratulations to Gary Pinkel and this entire program on this accomplishment.
