Jason Kidd admits he spilled drink on purpose, says he learned nothing from it

By now you’re well familiar with Spillgate which took place Wednesday night, involving Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd intentionally running into his own player, ‘forcing’ himself to spill his drink to give the Nets an extra ‘timeout’ thanks to a stoppage in play.

Kidd was seen mouthing ‘hit me’  to Tyshawn Taylor, who did exactly as he was asked. The Nets head coach originally blamed the ‘slippage’ on sweaty hands but finally admitted he dropped the cup on purpose once the NBA fined him $50,000 dollars.

The former point guard said he was simply trying to get his guys a win and a ‘good look’ at a shot, though hilariously admitted he learned nothing from the fine or incident.

Per Rod Boone:

Kidd: “It’s about trying to win & those guys in that locker room. I tried to put those guys in position to get a basket or a good look,”

Per Andy Vasquez:

Jason Kidd was asked if he learned anything from Spillgate: “Nope.”

I’m sure the NBA loved that answer.
