Texas A&M Aggies head coach Kevin Sumlin has been pinpointed as a hot coaching candidate heading in to the offseason in both the college and NFL world, but now some teams that were interested in Sumlin may have to take a step back.
On Saturday afternoon, as rivalry weekend was in full swing, a report surfaced that Sumlin has once again told the university that he will not be going anywhere.
From Bruce Feldman of CBS Sports:
BREAKING: Kevin Sumlin has recommitted to stay as the head coach at Texas A&M, sources told CBS Saturday. #Aggies

Sumlin would have been a popular name in NFL coaching circles, but now teams that are interested in bringing a college coach to their franchise will have to look elsewhere.
Sumlin was also drawing serious interest from the USC Trojans, but now that he appears to no longer be available, USC head coach Ed Orgeron has to be a very happy man. His chances of returning to the Trojans just took a boost.
