Tobias Harris, forward for the Orlando Magic, was slated to get his first start of the season earlier this week on Tuesday, however that didn’t happen.
According to Nick Borges, an ESPN Insider, spoke about Harris’ missed opportunity to start.
“he informed the training staff during warm ups that his left ankle was too sore to play. Harris had been sidelined all season until last Sunday due to the ankle and now his availability moving forward is uncertain.”
The GM of the Magic, Ron Hennigan, spoke with John Denton, the Magic’s beat writer, about Harris and what’s to come with his ankle injury.
He went for a 2nd opinion. High ankle sprains take time and everybody’s healing timeline is different. Our stance right now is to be cautious and make sure that we don’t rush him back.
Hopefully Harris’ second opinion isn’t going to be a bad one, because it’s evident that he wants to be back in the starting line up. The Magic are currently 6-10 on the season, which is good enough for 5th in the Southeast Division.
