Paul Walker’s rep confirms fatal car accident


The entertainment world was rocked on Saturday night when a TMZ report surfaced stating Fast and the Furious star Paul Walker had died in a tragic car accident. Many were awaiting confirmation before sending out their condolences, but Walker’s representatives took to his official Facebook and Twitter accounts to release a statement confirming the unfortunate news.

Walker’s representatives released the following statement:

It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences.

Walker was just 40 years old at the time of his death. He leaves behind his partner, Rebecca, and 15-year-old daughter, Meadow.

We echo the thoughts and comments from Walker’s representatives, as we send out our deepest thoughts and condolences to all of the friends and family that loved and knew Paul Walker.
