CBS BCS rankings projection: Week 15

All year, teams with undefeated records have been clamoring to have a shot at the Alabama Crimson Tide for the BCS National Championship.

Now, after the action of Week 14, those chants of “We Want ‘Bama” can now change over to chants of “We Want Florida State” since the Auburn Tigers sent the Tide back to Tuscaloosa with their first loss of the season, thus all but eliminating them from title contention.

Those Florida State Seminoles will now be the new number one team in the country, with the Ohio State Buckeyes more than likely occupying the two slot, setting up a potential match up in Pasadena if the two can win their conference title games next week.

But, how far will the Tide fall? How close will the gap be between Auburn and Ohio State? Should the Tigers win handily next weekend in Atlanta, can they jump Ohio State and go to Pasadena instead.

Those questions will be answered tonight when the official BCS rankings are announces. But for now, let’s have a look at the projected rankings via CBS Sports:
