Dolphins at Jets final score: Miami easily handles New York on the road, 23-3


The Miami Dolphins went on the road up north on Sunday to try and even up their record by getting their sixth win of the season against the division New York Jets. They did just that as they walked away with an easy 23-3 victory, evening that record right up.

QB Ryan Tannehill was 28-of-43 on the day for an impressive 331 yards and two touchdowns as he led the onslaught of a Dolphins offense that totaled 453 yards on the afternoon.

Brian Hartline was the leading receiver for Tannehill on the day with nine catches for 127 yards with a 31-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that extended the Dolphins’ lead at the time to 13-0.

Mike Wallace added in 82 yards on seven catches and also a touchdown as he put in one of his best performances in a Miami uniform.

As for the Jets, the story for them in this one was finally benching the struggling rookie, QB Geno Smith. Rex Ryan sat down his youngster and inserted in Matt Simms, who threw for only 79 yards and an interception.
