The Jacksonville Jaguars took a trip way up north on Sunday to face off with the 4-7 Cleveland Browns as they seek their third win on the season against a team that also needs a confidence booster.
So far, the Jaguars’ defensive struggles have been rampant. Today, though, they get the chance to go up against one of the most scrutinized QBs in the league in the Browns’ Brandon Weeden.
That seems like a pretty good match up on paper for the Jags’ defense, but it hurts when Weeden’s has some playmakers step up to help him out, like Josh Gordon did in the first quarter.
Weeden fired off a pass to the right sideline in the direction of Gordon, who not only got up to make the catch, but was able to come down with the two feet in bounds to complete the catch thoroughly for a 42-yard completion:
The drive would be capped off with a McGahee TD run to give the Browns the early lead.
