The first ever Women’s Ultimate Fighter will be decided tonight when Julianna Pena takes on Jessica Rakoczy. The historic fight takes co-main event billing on the card.
Pena (4-2), of Team Tate, stunned everyone by defeating veteran, Shayna Baszler, in the elimination round of the tournament. Pena took it to Shayna and submitted her in the second round in an incredible performance. She was then forced to fight teammate, Sarah Moras, in the Semi-Final round. Once again, Pena got the second round submission victory.
Rakoczy (1-3), of Team Rousey, defeated veteran Roxanne Modafferi by TKO in the elimination round of the tournament. She then went on to defeat Raquel Pennington by unanimous decision in the Semi-Final round of the tournament.
Will Pena be able to get yet another submission victory, or will Rakoczy’s boxing game get her the victory? Either way, let’s hope this fight is as epic as the first men’s Ultimate Fighter finale between Stephan Bonnar and Forrest Griffin.
