Despite the loss tonight against the rival UCLA Bruins, there is still a lot to be said about the turnaround the USC Trojans experienced this season under interim head coach Ed Orgeron. A lot of that is because he was able to get the most out of some talented players on his roster.
Probably the most talented of all was wide receiver Marqise Lee. Lee, coming into the season, was considered a darkhorse Heisman candidate to some. However, an injury hampered a good portion of his season.
Still, he was able to play impressively enough when he was on the field that he’s still the apple of some NFL scouts’ eyes. So, with the season coming to a close, everyone is wondering whether or not he will head off to the NFL or if he’ll come back to USC and chase a Pac-12 Championship in 2014.
Tonight, after the UCLA game, Lee said that he is going to wait until after the Trojans’ bowl game to talk with his mother about that decision:
Marqise Lee said he would wait until after USC’s bowl game to discuss the NFL with his mom.
