Much to the dismay of fans of the series, season 4 of The Walking Dead is set to take a short break for the holiday season. The mid-season finale aired tonight, but now fans of the show must wait until 2014 to see what happens next.
We previously knew that the series would be returning in February of next year, but now we have an official date. It was highly unlikely that the show would return on February 2 because of Super Bowl weekend, and AMC was smart enough to avoid going head-to-head with the biggest sporting event in the country.
So when can we expect the new episodes to air?
Part II of The Walking Dead season 4 will be returning to our television sets on February 9, 2014.
The show recently wrapped filming for the final episodes of the season, the time off will be used to create the final cuts of production. It takes some time to add in all of the special effects that are necessary for the show to be successful, so no one should be upset about the show’s hiatus.
