Despite only averaging 13 points on the season, key offseason acquisition Andre Iguodala has become a vital member of the Golden State Warriors organization. Knowing that, concern was at an all-time high when Iguodala was forced to leave the Warriors’ game against the Los Angeles Lakers on November 22nd after hearing a ‘pop’ in his hamstring.
Golden State eventually lost that game and three of their next five without Iggy (and combined to win the other two games by three points), though according to head coach Mark Jackson the former Arizona Wildcat could be returning soon:
Warriors coach Mark Jackson said Sunday that injured Andre Iguodala, who did not make the trip for Sunday’s game against the Sacramento Kings, is getting “closer and closer” to returning.
Of course, given the nature of hamstring injuries and how lingering in nature they can be, Jackson didn’t want to provide an exact return date though it sounds as if it’s getting relatively close.
