After beating No. 2 Kansas and No. 23 Iowa to capture the Battle 4 Atlantis Championship, the Villanova Wildcats have jumped to No. 14 in the newly released AP Top 25 poll.  Villanova is 7-0 on the season, and is the only ranked team in the Big East.

San Diego State made a sizable jump to No. 24 in the AP Top 25.  The Aztecs knocked off No. 20 Creighton and No. 25 Marquette to capture the Wooden Legacy Championship.  State is 5-1, with their lone loss against Arizona (the current No. 2).

After Dayton’s stellar performance at the Maui Invitational, the Flyers moved to No. 25.  In Maui, Dayton beat No. 11 Gonzaga and lost to No. 18 Baylor in the semi finals.  Dayton joins No. 21 UMass as the two ranked teams in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

North Carolina, Creighton, and Marquette fell out of the Top 25.  North Carolina lost to the UAB Blazers yesterday.  The Tar Heels will not dwell on their loss for long as they take on No. 1 Michigan State on Wednesday at 9 pm ET on ESPN.
