After Saturday’s events down south in the SEC on Saturday, the Ohio State Buckeyes are on somewhat of a clear path to Pasadena and a shot to play for the national championship.
The Buckeyes survived an incredible onslaught from their most hated rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, and have now completed two straight regular seasons undefeated.
Their next test in the Big Ten Championship Game this upcoming Saturday, however, will undoubtedly their largest of the year in the form of the Michigan State Spartans.
Michigan State has one of the toughest defensive units not only in the entire conference, but in all of college football. They could provide some serious trouble for this second-ranked Ohio State team.
Otherwise, the most notable bit of news to come out of the Big 10 this weekend was Penn State’s upset of Wisconsin on the road inside Camp Randall Stadium. Wisconsin was one of the hottest teams in the country coming in, and the Nittany Lions cooled them off in the last game of the regular season.
