Cleveland Browns QB Jason Campbell cleared for activity, not practice

To say the Cleveland Browns could be facing quite the quarterback predicament come their Week 14 matchup against the New England Patriots would be quite the understatement.

Starting quarterback Jason Campbell missed the Browns Week 13 tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars, a game in which backup quarterback Brandon Weeden suffered a concussion.

Weeden will likely need another day at minimum to have his status updated and to be in a position to pass the NFL’s mandated concussion test, though thankfully there is some good news on the horizon as Campbell was cleared this morning for activity as he returns from his own concussion.

Unfortunately, he was not cleared for practice yet so the Browns will go into practice on Tuesday likely unsure of who their starting quarterback will be in Week 14.

#Browns HC Chud said QB Jason Campbell (concussion) has been cleared for activity, but not practice yet. Said he’s feeling better.

The team is obviously hopeful that either Campbell or Weeden will be able to play come Sunday, but if not, that leaves Alex Tanney as the only quarterback on the current roster.
