As expected, the Orlando Magic will be without veteran point guard Jameer Nelson and third-year forward Tobias Harris when they take on the Washington Wizards Monday night.

Nelson, who has spent every NBA season with the Magic after they acquired him from the Denver Nuggets during the 2004 NBA draft, injured his foot in Wednesday’s 105-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers and missed Friday’s 109-91 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

Nelson is averaging 11.7 points, 6.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game this season.

Harris, who led the Magic in scoring with 17.3 points per game after he was acquired from the Milwaukee Bucks last season, has played in just one game because of a high ankle sprain.

“He went for a 2nd opinion,” Magic General Manager Rob Hennigan told OrlandoMagic.com’s John Denton. High ankle sprains take time and everybody’s healing timeline is different. Our stance right now is to be precautious and make sure that we don’t rush him back.”

The Magic and Wizards will tip-off at 7:00 pm EST and the game is on NBA TV.
