Senior Bowl announces third round of accepted invitations

The Senior Bowl has released its third group of accepted invitations this week.  Every week has announced some serious star power in the world of college football and this week is no exception.  The event is at the end of January and showcases the best talent in college football and also has become the place to go for scouting NFL talent in a practice format as well as the game at the end of the week.

The name that jumps out for most is going to be Clemson’s Tajh Boyd, the talented senior quarterback.  He has had a terrific college career and will get a chance to showcase his skills for the NFL.  The name that might stand out the most for fans of the NFL Draft might be Jordan Matthews, who is likely the top senior wide receiver in this year’s class.  This week’s group also features a few terrific players from non-AQ conferences including Weston Richburg, Antonio Andrews and Jimmie Ward.  It is noteworthy that Richburg is being invited as a guard as he has been a center in Fort Collins.  He has the skills to play as a guard but he has been a pivot during his career.  Here is the list from this week and the full list can be found here

Antonio Andrews, RB Western Kentucky
Tajh Boyd, QB Clemson
Kyle Fuller, CB Virginia Tech
Jordan Matthews, WR Vanderbilt
Weston Richburg, Colorado State
Jimmie Ward, Northern Illinois
Jaylen Watkins, CB Florida
