The Orlando Magic are playing the Washington Wizards on Monday night, and for rookie point guard Victor Oladipo it is a chance to play in front of family and friends. Oladipo is from the Washington D.C. area.
“They were always holding me accountable,” Oladipo said, via the Orlando Sentinel. “They were always telling me if I played good or played bad. They just keep it real with me. It’s always good to have those people around, who can keep it real with you but at the same time make you feel good about yourself. That’s my sisters to a T and my mom as well. It’s always good to have strong women around.”
He got to put on a show early against the Wizards for his family. He drove into the lane and elevated for this impressive dunk between two Wizards defenders. It is one of several impressive dunks he has made in his brief time in the NBA.
He is making his case to be the rookie of the year.
