The Cleveland Browns quarterback situation is an absolute disaster. They have started three quarters at different points this season and all of them are currently injured. With Brian Hoyer on the injured reserve list with a torn ACL and Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden dealing with concussions, the team lacks a serviceable quarterback.
Currently, the only healthy quarterback on the team’s roster is trick-shot quarterback Alex Tanney, who was signed off of the Dallas Cowboys practice squad last week.
If Campbell and Weeden are not cleared from their concussions, the Browns will be forced to go with Tanney. Since he’s the only healthy quarterback, they needed to add some depth so they went out to sign Caleb Hanie.
Hanie has some starting experience from his time with the Chicago Bears, so he could be the best option for the team to roll out as a starter if they are unable to get clearance from their previous starters.
