Cris Cyborg takes shot at Ronda Rousey; offers to help Miesha Tate train for UFC 168

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to defend her title on Dec. 28 against Miesha Tate at UFC 168, in a rematch that we have all been waiting for. The rivalry between the two fighters has helped promote the fight, but now there could be an interesting new dynamic to watch.

Cris Cyborg, who mixed martial arts fans should be familiar with, has never been a fan of Rousey and the Invicta FC 145-pound champion is offering up her help to Tate as she prepares for the fight.

Cyborg also went on to throw a shot in Rousey’s direction:

Rousey vs. Tate is the most marketable fight that the UFC can currently make, but that is because Cyborg refuses to cut down to 135-pounds to join the UFC.

She had a shot to take on Rousey when the UFC first brought in the women’s division, but she isn’t ready to move down from featherweight and a bout was never agreed to. Everyone wanted it, but Cyborg’s manager Tito Ortiz made things to difficult.

Hopefully we can eventually see Rousey vs. Cyborg, because that would be the biggest women’s fight of all-timer, but for now we will have to settle for Cyborg helping Tate train.
