Wide receiver Mike Wallace is returning to the place where he spent the first four years of his career on Sunday, when the Miami Dolphins travel to the Steel City to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 14 match up.
Wallace was asked if he expected to be greeted by boo birds when he runs on to the field, and he made it clear that he doesn’t expect a positive response.
“Definitely. Yeah,” Wallace said, via the team’s official website. “I already know how my welcome is going to be, it’s not going to be too pretty.”
While Wallace expects the boos to come, which they almost certainly will, he will be able to have the last laugh.
Pittsburgh is hanging on to slim hopes of a playoff berth, but those could come to an end if the Dolphins are able to go in to Heinz Field and upend the Steelers. If Wallace has his way, he will likely play a large part in the team’s offensive performance on Sunday afternoon.
