NBA 2k14 on Xbox One gives fouls for swearing (Video)

If you went out and spent the $500 to pick up an Xbox One when it launched, you could soon be having a baby sitter in your home 24/7. Apparently, the Xbox Kinect is monitoring your language and they are not afraid to penalize you during games for letting your temper get out of control.

As you can see in the video above, one Xbox One user was given a technical foul in NBA 2K14 after dropping the f-bomb during the game.

A reddit user also shared their experiences while playing FIFA 14, where he received a message from his club’s board of directors telling him to cut down on the cursing.

If you are at home playing a video game, you should probably be able to keep your temper under control, but some people are just a bit more free with the language that they choose to use and it makes it a bit unfair to penalize them for their speech choices inside their own home.

Nice try, Xbox, but this is going to make some people very unhappy.

Apparently this person did not play 2k or fifa on the 360 when the kinect came out or else this person would have known this has been happening for the past 2 years

This is put in by 2k who MAKES THE GAME. Xbox/MS don’t have anything to do with it other than give the devs access to be able to use Kinect. It’s exactly the same on Playstation.

It does this on the PS4 and Xbox 360 (if you have kincet connected) as well.
