Joe Johnson and the Nets players noticed the Lawrence Frank-Jason Kidd fued

The news broke yesterday that Jason Kidd and Lawrence Frank were butting heads, and now Frank has been demoted. He is no longer an assistant coach, and he will now write reports for the Nets.

Frank was hired to help guide Kidd along in his first coaching gig, but the Nets are terrible, so there needed to be a scapegoat. Kidd said there was a difference in philosophies, but reports say that they got into a heated argument in a coaches meeting last month. The friction wasn’t hidden from the players, and Joe Johnson said they all noticed it, via the NY Daily News:

“Guys do notice it. I know I surely noticed it. Something just wasn’t quite right,” the Nets guard told The News. “But that has nothing to do with how we played (Tuesday night). That was just a carbon copy of our season, to be honest with you.”

Things are getting ugly in Brooklyn. Jason Kidd could be on the hot seat if things don’t turn around soon. Either way this seems to just be an ugly situation.
