BCS matchup chances and projected spreads

Now that there is just one week of the regular season left, there are only five teams with any realistic chance to play for the BCS Championship. One of those teams, the fourth-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide, has to have the 20th-ranked Duke Blue Devils upset the top-ranked Florida State Seminoles to have a shot at winning a third straight title. The Blue Devils are 29-point underdogs.

The folks over at Bovada have sent us the odds of each potential matchup (but have not included the Tide) and have also listed potential spreads.

BCS Exact Matchup Odds

Florida State vs. Ohio State                   4/7
Florida State vs. Auburn                       3/1
Florida State vs. Missouri                     13/4
Any Other Matchup                                 10/1

Las Vegas clearly expects second-ranked Ohio State to defeat the 10th-ranked Michigan State Spartans, which is why they are a five-point favorite. They also expect Auburn, a two-point favorite, to defeat Missouri.

Clearly, they see almost no chance of Florida State losing to Duke.
