As they seek their 10th win on the season, the Atlanta Hawks have gotten out to a great start do far in the first half against the Pacific Division-leading Los Angeles Clippers.
The Hawks have maintained a lead against the Clips and have certainly played well enough so far that if they keep it up, they’ll push that win total to double digits, and they’ll do it against a pretty impressive group.
It also helps that they’ve been getting so good play out of their starters in this one, like Paul Millsap displayed in the first quarter.
Millsap had the ball tossed to him on the left side, after which he pulled off a beautiful shot-fake that got the defender off his feet. After that, it was clear sailing to the rim for Millsap, which he finished off with an awesome throw down:
Those plays right there are what Hawks fans have been looking for. There’s still a lot of time left in this season, and progressing on moments like this, against a team like the Clippers is key.
