We’re all quite familiar with ‘Sodagate’ by now, right? Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd purposely spilling a drink to get his team an additional timeout, of which they had none.
Yes, yes – we all know about it. And most of us are over it, though, I’m not sure Los Angeles Lakers forward Shawne Williams feels the same way.
Coming out of a local Los Angeles hotspot, Williams was asked about the incident and didn’t hold back, giving TMZ a simple three word answer:
F*#@ Jason Kidd.
After a momentary pause, Williams did elaborate a bit, suggesting that Kidd could do his own thing – that it didn’t matter and the Lakers still won. Williams also said he respected Kidd’s ‘whatever it takes to win’ mentality, but, judging by his initial comment, I question that.
The six-year NBA veteran (who’s dealt with a handful of off-court issues) has struggled with the Lakers this season and looks to be regulated to bench warmer duty once Kobe Bryant returns from injury, which could be as soon as this week.
