MLB rumors: Boston Red Sox not ruling out signing Curtis Granderson

Talk about sleeping with the enemy.

Not even a day after Jacoby Ellsbury decided to leave the Boston Red Sox for the New York Yankees, Curtis Granderson might be leaving the Bronx for Beantown.

Granderson, who has been in relatively intense discussions with the New York Mets is still reportedly seeking a four-year deal, a deal the Mets aren’t likely to offer. That has lead Granderson to seek other opportunities before inking such a deal with the Mets, opportunities that could potentially be found in Boston according to Gordon Edes:

Sox haven’t “ruled out” Granderson

Granderson of course missed much of last season with the Yankees thanks to two extremely freak injuries, though, has produced when he’s been on the field, clubbing 84 home runs between 2011 and 2012.

Combined with the short left field porch at Fenway Park, those are numbers that could shockingly increase.

Granderson is expected to come much cheaper than other free agent outfielders, like Shin-Soo Choo, which could make him an attractive piece for the Red Sox.

Dude you don’t know what your talking about, ”the short left field porch at Fenway Park?”, that’s not a short porch and Granderson is a left handed pull hitter.
