Toronto Maple Leafs to get Cody Franson back against Dallas Stars tomorrow

After being a game-time decision when the Toronto Maple Leafs took on the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night, it appears that Cody Franson will be able to play tomorrow against the Dallas Stars. He’s missed Toronto’s last two games with a lower-body injury despite returning to practice on Monday.

Now he says he’s good to go.

The Leafs will welcome Franson’s offensive prowess back into the fold. He has 13 assists through 26 games this season, and Toronto needs all the help it can get right now. The team hasn’t won since November 23.

Since then, Toronto has dropped five straight and their upcoming schedule isn’t getting any easier. After playing the Stars tomorrow and the Ottawa Senators on Saturday, the Leafs will begin a stretch of five games against the Boston Bruins, L.A. Kings, St. Louis Blues, Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Getting the gears going over the next few days will be crucial if Toronto wants to continue to battle for a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division. They’ve dropped to fifth place during their current losing streak and can’t afford to continue losing games at this rate.
