The Knicks are in desperate need of some interior defense with Tyson Chandler out, and Kenyon Martin may be their best bet.

On Thursday night, we were supposed to have a marquee match up between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets, but both these teams are in the bottom of East, so now it’s a game that you have to beg people to watch.

The Knicks are rolling, and this could be a win that sparks them moving forward. In the play above, the Nets have good ball movement (for once), and Joe Johnson gets by Martin to the hoop. Martin doesn’t give up on the play, and he showed the kind of hustle the Knicks have been lacking this season. What a big block from Martin, and a big win for the Knicks.
