LSU has announced that running back Jeryl Brazil has been kicked off of the football team in light of a warrant issued for simple burglary of an inhabited home according to The Daily Reveille.  The move was confirmed by head coach Les Miles on Thursday as Brazil had been suspended previously.  The alleged incident occurred in November.

Brazil had previously when a summons was issued in October for an incident that involved simple battery and simple criminal damage to property.  Since that suspension, Brazil has not been on the field the rest of the season.  Brazil was a freshman in Baton Rouge and had only played in one game for the Bayou Bengals.

This is not the only issue LSU has had with a running back this season as Jeremy Hill, the team’s starter has had a few issues himself.  First, in high school, where he engaged in a sexual act with a 14-year old girl and then coming into the season where a bar fight involving Hill had him beat a man unconscious.  Hill was charged with simple battery in that case.  The issue in that case is whether or not Hill started the fight or just finished it.  It has not been a great year for running backs off of the field this year for LSU.
