Matt Schaub comes into the game, fires TD pass (GIF)

The Houston Texans’ woes got a little bit bigger tonight when they fell behind by 14 points in the third quarter to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Both of these teams are searching for anything positive, as both have had some disappointing years.

One of the main issues for Houston has been at the QB position. Veteran Matt Schaub battled some injuries and sub-par play this year, and was replaced by second-year Case Keenum.

Tonight, though, Schaub was called upon with his team down, and he delivered for his troops.

Schaub came into the game right after the Jags used a double pass play for a score and led a seven-play, 76-yard drive which he capped off with this five-yard touchdown strike to Garrett Graham:

Sometimes, a change of pace at the QB position isn’t a bad thing. That got the Texans right back into it as it cut the score to 24-17 right at the end of the third quarter, leading into the fourth and final one.

Afterward, Schaub got a nice “atta boy” from a coach:
