Ron Burgundy co-hosts the Dan Patrick Show, recreates great sports calls (Videos)

Will Ferrell has done a fantastic job making the rounds promoting the upcoming release of his newest movie, ‘Anchorman 2.’

On Thursday, he took it one step further when he joined the guys from the Dan Patrick Show not just as a guest, but as Dan’s co-host for the entire show in the Ron Burgundy character.

As always, it was hilarity from start to finish.

First, Patrick had a nice introductory session with Ferrell as Burgundy where he discussed a number of topics, including some sports influences in his career:

Then, in probably what was the best segment of the entire appearance, Burgundy recreated some of the greatest sports calls in history, giving it a bit of his own, unique flare:

Finally, Burgundy and crew put business to the side and had a little fun in the mancave, which of course resulted in Bugundy taking a ball to the groin:

That was truly an outstanding appearance by Ferrell as this little promotional tour just gets better and better. It also has become his highest-profile appearance for today as his scheduled appearance to anchor tonight’s SportsCenter was cancelled due to the Jameis Winston announcement.

Still, Burgundy with Patrick more than made up for it all, as you can clearly see above.
