With the 2013 college football season coming to a close, a huge amount of focus is now put on the Heisman Trophy. After today’s events, it seems as if Florida State QB Jameis Winston has that award all but locked up.
But, remember the guy who was basically the front runner before the season started? You know, that Louisville QB who is still so highly thought of by NFL scouts.
Yes, more than likely because of the conference that he plays in, Teddy Bridgewater’s name was taken out of the race when his team lost a conference game earlier this season to UCF. It almost seems as if the college football world forgot that he even exists.
On Thursday night against Cincinnati, Bridgewater reminded everyone that not only is he still around, but he’s also still one of the most talented players in the game.
With his team trailing, Bridgewater dropped back and was immediately under duress. Somehow, some way, Teddy B scrambled his way out of trouble about three times, and just fired off this beauty in the back of the end zone, which was miraculously caught by Damian Copeland for the score:
