Denver's Nate Robinson fined $25,000 for saying refs hate him

According to Pro Basketball Talk, Denver Nuggets point guard Nate Robinson was fined $25,000 on Friday for comments he made last week regarding NBA officials. In case you missed it, here’s what Robinson had to say about referees to The Denver Post after being given a technical foul against the New York Knicks last Friday:

They hate me, they hate me. I don’t know why, but it is what it is. I already know I’ve got the target on my back, but I’ll play through it; I don’t care. I really don’t. It doesn’t bother me none. If I get a call, I get a call. If I don’t, I don’t. If I get a tech, hopefully it’s not in the fourth quarter. Hopefully I don’t get any more. But I know I will. It’s nothing new for me.

Despite averaging only 25.3 minutes a game last season, Robinson was hit with 11 technical fouls. He already has three through Denver’s first 18 games of the 2013-14 season.
