One of the best interior defensive linemen is set to become the latest underclassman to enter the 2014 NFL Draft. It was on Friday afternoon that Notre Dame Fighting Irish nose guard Louis Nix III hinted that he would be leaving Notre Dame early for the pros, when he posted the following photo of the Notre Dame campus in his rear view mirror.

To confirm that he will no longer be playing at the collegiate level, the Chicago Tribune is reporting that Nix has signed with NFL agents that puts an end to his college eligibility.

According to the report, Nix signed with agents Todd France and Brian Ayrault.

Nix watched his year come to an end early after undergoing season-ending surgery on a torn meniscus, but that will not hurt his NFL draft stock. No matter where you look around the web and different scouting services, Nix is considered to be an elite defensive tackle prospect and he should expect to hear his name called early in the first-round of next year’s draft.
