The Seattle Mariners are acting like a kid in a candy store after they signed Robinson Cano to a 10 year deal.

So far today they’ve inked Cano as I noted in the sentence above and are currently pursuing Nelson Cruz, Carlos Beltran, Shin Soo-Choo and Mike Napoli.

This team is looking to spend whatever they have too, to make sure they have themselves a winning baseball team next season.

Another guy that appears to be on their radar is 40 year old hard throwing Bartolo Colon. Colon had an excellent year with the Oakland Athletics this season as he went 18-6 with a 2.65 ERA, 117 strike outs and a 1.17 WHIP.

This translates to ‘Assuring Cano #Mariners could go for Bartolo Colon, a source tells me. “It could happen.”

Colon will be looking to sign the final contract of his career as he’s picked up some interest from the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

He could be looking to pick up a two year contract if anything because of his age. Either way, I think he would be a solid sign by this Mariners team.
