The Seattle Mariners have been a very busy team today after they signed free agent second baseman Robinson Cano to a 10 year contract worth $240 million.
They’ve also expressed interest in free agent outfielders Shin-Soo Choo, Nelson Cruz and Carlos Beltran. This team right now is looking to prove that they’re close to becoming serious contenders.
After signing Cano, their confidence should have went through the roof and teams in the American League need to cautious of this squad.
Now with the Texas Rangers also being interested in Mike Napoli, the Seattle Mariners have had some recent conversations with him and could be a serious contender to sign him.

Seattle wanted to sign him last season but we all know what happened next. The mariners could use him at first base or the designated hitters spot, obviously.
A rotation of Justin Smoak and Mike Napoli would be great for this lineup.
