If you haven’t heard the news yet, the Seattle Mariners and free agent second baseman Robinson Cano have agree’d to a 10 year contract.
That’s huge news for Seattle and it’s fans as they’re hoping to reach the playoffs for the first time in over 10 years. Now you figured the Mariners would be stopping there, but now they’re starting to show this league how bad they want to win.
The ink hasn’t even had a chance to dry on Cano’s new contract yet and Seattle has already let it be known that they will still pursue Shin-Soo Choo, Carlos Beltran and Nelson Cruz.

Now Beltran may be close to signing with the Royals, but a pick up like Cano could get that mans attention. It could get all three of their attention actually.
When a team takes a step in the right direction when it comes to putting together a championship baseball team, it’s like throwing bread crumbs to pigeons.
It’ll be interesting to see who this team will sign next.
